Lightvessel is a creative community centered on one simple calling:

to be vessels of the light of Christ in a dark world.

okay, cool... but what is a lightvessel?

Simply put, a lightvessel is a ship that acts as a lighthouse.

The name “Lightvessel” comes from historic ships also known as lightships. Beginning in the early 1700s, these vessels were anchored in dangerous waters where it was too difficult or impossible to build a lighthouse. They carried powerful lights that guided sailors safely through treacherous areas that would otherwise remain dark.

In the same way, we believe followers of Jesus are called to carry His light into places where it might not otherwise reach. The mission of Lightvessel is to encourage and equip believers to live out that calling. Through creative expression, we aim to help the Church boldly share the Gospel and start meaningful conversations about Jesus.

What began as a small creative project has grown into something broader. Today, Lightvessel is a group of friends from Ohio using our individual giftings to point people to Christ. Some of us do that through music and worship. Others through design, art, and merchandise. And as new opportunities open up, we simply want to keep using whatever God has placed in our hands to shine His light.Whether through songs, clothing, art, or future creative avenues, the goal remains the same: to help the Church live as vessels of light, carrying the good news of Jesus to the world.
